17 and their word will spread like [a]gangrene. Among them are (A)Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18 who have gone astray from the truth saying that (B)the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset (C)the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless, the (D)firm foundation of God stands, having this (E)seal, “(F)The [b]Lord knows those who are His,” and, “(G)Everyone who names the name of the [c]Lord is to (H)depart from wickedness.”
